I would say that almost all of my bathroom jobs have a cut or trimmed tile at the bath ( or shower tray)to avoid that awful finish at ceiling level or anywhere else.
£45 sq mtr walls £35 floors if porcelain or ceramic and a reasonable size tile. Anything else would be on a day rate of £175/200 depending on travel time parking etc. Hope it helps

I usually take that in to account before I start tiling and fill the void with some tile adhesive, then tile then silicon when all is dry.
You could use foam, but I wouldn't use expanding type it could make things hard to clean off the tiles. Hope it helps.
I always use the green tube (gripfill) on skirtings, it has to be a fresh tube and don't be stingy with it. The trick is to lay a bead (I normally put about a 80mm bead every 150mm alnong the length in a vertical pattern). Then push the skirting in place and pull it off again straight away, if...
