Evening all, Got an external job on the go and the customer has requested the tops of the breeze block walls to be tiled using the same external 10mm porcelain tiles as the patio. My question is would it be ok to tile directly to the blocks or would I need to overboard (mechanically fixed) them...
Not nice Tess, looks like they are probably a bit chancy and unfortunately they have had you a bit here but its difficult for a customer to choose the right tradesman sometimes.
With regards, the Silicon, use a colour match as close to the tile as you can to hide the joint, will look miles...

Unfortunately there are a few setting out issues here and clearly the cost IMO is a little over the top for that amount of tiling with the tile you have chosen. However, it is retrievable to a point as the actual tiling looks ok as i'm assuming of course that the tiles are meant to be...
If you have to compromise a setting out line as it doesn't work out nice on every obstacle, where do you guys do that? For me i'd say the top of the door into the bathroom is the least critical point in general.
doesn't look great but the chances are that the planks will be slightly bowed which will cause lippage no matter what the installer does. The light is probably making it look worse aswell. Any half decent carpenter will be able to scribe them skirtings in to lose the gaps. Can't really see what...
