Hi Everyone, I've got a floor that is constructed with OSB. The construction is very rigid and solid. I also have a large number of old tomettes (natural clay, unglazed) that I would like to use on the floor. Any advise on laying, adhesives etc. would be gratefully received.
I've got a wooden floor OSB but fairly stable and rigid to which I want to lay terracotta tiles (French and unglazed). Can anyone recommend the best adhesive to use? Been told adhesive with high latex content is best but would appreciate knowing manufacturer and product to order.
Many thanks - won't be attempting this until next visit to house at the end of May. I'll update this thread with the results and photos probably beginning of June. Appreciate everyone's help.
I've bought a house in France (I can hear the groans!) quaint old place with loads of original terracotta tiles that have been "enhanced" with red paint. I'd love to get the tiles back to their original condition. So - how do I remove the paint and what is the best way of sealing them after...
I've got a fairly small area to tile approx. 15 sq.m. The floor is concrete but has been painted with what looks like a gloss paint - could be a specialised floor paint. The tiles going down are porcelain 617x617mm.
Questions I have are (a) do I need to remove paint or prepare it in some way...
