I have used mapei a lot, but don't like tape for corners (rubber part does not stick to wall, as I'd like). Today did 3 shower rooms with different suff,

so easy to work, and no problem with tape

Ardex WPC for me. Ease of use - can be rollered or troweled, mixed stiff to plug gaps and fill holes.
One kit is enough for a big area.

If the customer has the budget and the job allows though, I'd prefer to use kerdi boards and tape up. For me it's the gold standard of wet area prep.

On Kerdi-boards? No! Unique - nice smooth fabric-type coating with cm grids marked on.
You know when you cut marmox/wedi boards and get through a load of stanley blades?
Kerdi board doesn't blunt blades and doesn't make dust/crumbs either.

It's also totally waterproof, whereas the cement face on other boards will hold water - although I've yet to see that be a problem.

Used the ardex kit for the third time yesterday and cant fault it.Used to use Bal and Mapei but prefer the speed and texture of the Ardex kit.

Anyone used the Megaproof kit?
