Hi Guys,

The First Training Session went really well and i think all enjoyed it Broken Link Removed and hopefully learnt something!

I have been speaking with Danny@Diamond training and he has agreed for us to hold an ufh training session there.

I am looking on holding session on Friday 29th May. I would just like rough numbers of people that would like to attend so can see how many sessions are going to be required.

There will be a small charge of £25 to hopefully eliminate no shows on the day but each of you that comes along will walk away with at least £100 worth or vouchers from sponsors of the forums.

To book your place please use the following Link Broken Link Removed at checkout please use the code 'FREEDEL'

This session will be held @ Diamond Training in Ford, Sussex.

As before i am trying to arrange further sessions around the uk.

Thanks,

Hi Gary,

1. You should walk away with basic knowledge of ufh. I am then looking to hold a further session at each location with a 'hands on' approach (TBA)

2. This is where it will differ slightly from the previous course to try and eliminate No shows. We will be charging a small fee £25 for the course but the people that attend the course will receive at least £100 worth of money off vouchers from different suppliers on the forums, This could be even more....so please watch this space.

I hope you are still interested, please give me a call on 07887 545757 if you want to talk further

thanks

Hi Aaron, New Boy here :hurray:, have been tiling nearly a year...it's tough out there...... and have just installed my first UFH in a conseravatory. Great assistance from your guys back in the office, thanks, but seriously lack some self confidence. Would very much welcome a training session at Diamond in Ford, so please put me down for a place. cheers Paul.

Some great information from all you posters too, many thanks....hopefully I'll be able to give something back

Hi guys,

We have just set up a page for payments to be taken to book your place on the training course. please use this link Underfloor Heating | Installation | Uheat use the code 'FREEDEL' at the checkout. payment can be made by debit and credit cards and also paypal.

Those that attend the course will receive at least £100 worth of vouchers from forums sponsors.

We have applied this small fee for the course to hopefully eliminate people not showing up on the day.

Depending on numbers there will be a couple of sessions run and times will be confirmed at a later date...please watch this space.

Thanks

To be honest, i'm not convinced that we'd actually learn that much in 2 hours!?! What with the deisel to get there, then the £25... If you want to eliminate no shows, you could make the £25 a returnable deposit.

Sorry if that sounds at all harsh, just my 2c.

Thanks for you comments. Have a look at the following link if you dont think you would learn anything http://www.tilersforums.com/electric-underfloor-heating/20450-1st-ufh-training-day.html

If you dont want to come along to this session, then you could wait to see if i managed to get one closer to you.

We decided to put a small charge on the course to eliminate No shows. I think it is a more then fair charge and you will end up with vouchers worth in excess of £100.

Way back when I attended a NuHeat* training class and then later a Laticrete** training class. These two companies produce mats that are somewhat different, but the principles of installation and troubleshooting are the same.

In both cases, it was time well spent because we have installed 50 or 60 heat mats since then and made some good income (so has my sparky, so he is happy too).

I sweated bullets on the first few, worried about getting everything right, but after a few it got to be a routine part of the trade and now we do them quite easily.

From what I have seen from Aaron posting here, I am sure that any questions that come up after the class will be answered via phone calls or emails...that is what I did while we were first getting established with the heat mat business.

FYI
* a Canadian company
** a US company
