If poking spacers in between metros (leaving them sticking out the front) is it better to remove them before the adhesive has set rather than trying to pull them out the next day after compression?

If so is there a good way to tell when is safe to do without the tiles moving?

If you have been fixing mosaics to a good background and not having to build out any hollows in the wall you should find you can take them fsirly quickly ., depending on what adhesive you have used

Thanks! Much obliged.

If using a standard set with ceramic metros would it be safe to leave overnight and remove in the morning or still best to take out sooner than later

Easier to take them out sooner, the metros will draw moisture from the adhesive making them unlikely to slip down pretty quickly .
