I ve got a couple of jobs coming up where there is a residue of bitumen used to bed the old wood parquet.
have spoken with weber today and am assured that the pr 360 mixed 5 parts primer to 1 part water is fine before fixing dukkaboard or tiles with flex adhesive.
I do however find it strange that there are seemingly no other manufacturers with a similar product which is only an accrylic primer that is also recommended over bitumen residue.
has anyone used the pr360 in instance like this or recommend other product.
i am happy that i dont have to remove the existing bitumen residue by weber recommendation.

I used this PR360 3 years ago to do a 60 Mt Porcelain floor over bitumen onto screed in a old rectory. Webber told me the same and it has worked fine.

Strangly enough I spike to weber this week and they recommended the same ratio but I was going over the bitumen with weber floor flex. Primer took ages to dry. Good job I primed before I started another job.

I will be going over the floor with weber floor flex as well.
i also think primer will take ages to dry so will apply day before applying latex.
good to know someone else had same info

Good job its was only a 7m floor using that amount of primer cost a fortune otherwise

I had a job like this over a month ago and, thanks to a few guys on the forum I laid ardex NA leveller straight over the top of the bitumen minimum of 3mm deep no primer required! Flexi adhesive for laying 20 m2 of the floor tiles, job done!
