I am in the position that i do all my own prep so will only tile on surfaces that i deem suitable. I will tile to ply despite others opinions about the surface as at the end of the day its my warranty on the job and if it fails then its down to me to put it right.
With regards to the poll i havent voted as i believe its both the first and last options. For me its part of the job
