Why not...as long as youve got another to use and its the right length. Very green as well just wipe it off and re-use

Doh!😳I lead a very shelterred life. Battens for me by the way maybe not on a short run above a bath or shower tray.

I use battens, but if the floors already tiled then I'll start with the bottom row first!

Been tiling for 20 years now.....never seen anyone using their spirit level as a batten.But what a great idea.

its not a spirit level... How can it be, it says b&q on it lol. No seriously i only use it as a straight edge

Use levels with rubi baton stands but mainly I use inch ovals to hold each tile up then you can cut bottom row in leaving nails as spacers
