preparing mouldy walls

i need to tile my bathroon walls but mold is presant and need to know how to prep the walls ready to prevent mould returning. i am adding a extractor fan as well to help.

hi when you say mould

what colour? black? does it wipe away, if so , warm water with bleach will wash off and kill and mould thats formed on the surface.

hi a good wipe with bleach then a good sealergoat ,let it dry for 24hrs then tile away

most paint shops do a mould remover and preventative to stop it from coming back, treat it with these then wash down with clean water and then allow to dry

thi is really good stuff for removing mould, I've used it and it was brilliant

Is there any paint on your walls and is it a vinyl silk

Once the mould has gone, tank the shower / bath walls, this will help prevent mould growth in the future

black mould and wipes off but but leaves a stain. what does tank mean?
