Is there any other way of avioding the 1/4 cut, left side under hood?

Maybe if the tiles had been centered exactly under the hood then that would of shared the sliver between both sides and left an ok gap each side to just grout, or even slightly wider groutlines would have taken up the slack, but mainly centering is the way to go.

Mark the centre under the hood, then try placing the centre of a tile on the centre mark and work out, if that doesn't leave good cuts then start with the grout line at the centre mark and work out from there, I generally find that one of these options will leave good cuts.

Move all right, Grout line as centre, then you have even cuts on both sides. (if the rest of the wall doesn't leave awkward cuts)

It would help even the socket cuts out too
