gonna be starting a job at the weekend where some of the concrete (i think) wall has what looks like vinyl emulsion or a thin coat of gloss.
at first i thought score it, sand it and prime it but now im not so sure?
be a real pain if it needs removed!:mad2:

any ideas? :huh2:

emulsion paint should be removed,as not a solid base,so you need to sand it down.some people remove gloss but as its not going anywhere fast,i prime then tile but if dirty, always try washing down with sugar soap solution before priming.hope this helps

Hi,over here across the pond we have a product called T.S.P. It's just heavy duty cleaning crystals, takes off most everything,it's magic on cement, don't know if you have it there, but if you do,it works, try a janitorial supply store,I'm sure they'd have something for you, good luck.
