W The Home Of No More Ply

No More Ply is classed as a ‘Tile backer board’ that is ideal for over boarding floorboards, timber, chip board and plywood prior to tiling. NMP provides a stable and water resistant surface in which to tile upon.
It can also be used as an ideal replacement for plaster boards in wet areas. NMP can be used on walls and floors and is available in 3 sizes:
1) 1200 x 600 x 6mm 2) 1200 x 900 x 9mm 3) 1200mm x 800mm x 12mm

Benefits...
. Easy to cut, simply score with tungsten scribe and snap. Tile nippers can be used to notch out shapes along with jigsaws.
. Water resistant and will not rot or expand.
. Good sound proofing and insulating qualities.
. Non combustible contains no asbestos or harmful glues that can be found in ply.
. Durable, impact and heat resistant.
. No more ply also manufacture the - ‘ KASCADE WET ROOM SYSTEM’

Installation...

Over boarding timber/ Ply board floors use 6mm boards
. Ensure all areas are clean and dust free.
. Screw down any loose boards.
. Run 2 lines of NMP ‘super strength glue’ in a square formation around the inner & outer areas of the NMP board and lay the board down.
. Lay the 6mm boards in a staggered/brick bond formation. Tip: (it is better to start from the middle of the floor and work outwards when laying the boards!)
. Apply a line of NMP ‘super strength glue’ along the edges of the NMP board and push the boards up to each other as you lay to form a water resistant and secure seal! Note: The polyurethane glue is very strong, so wipe off any excess immediately and avoid contact with the skin and eyes!
. Screw down as you lay each board using NMP corrosion resistant screws @ 8 screws per board.

Over boarding concrete use 6mm boards
. Brush floor and prime the concrete using SBR at a ratio of 1 SBR to 3 parts water in order to seal the dust and control the porous areas.
. Prime both sides of the NMP with SBR at a ratio of 1-3.
. Fix 6mm boards to the concrete using a ‘rapid set’ SPF adhesive in a staggered pattern. A 2mm gap between boards is recommended for expansion. Fill the gap with SPF adhesive and tape.

Dot & Dab to Walls use 6mm, 9mm or ‘NEW’ 12mm boards
. Use 6mm boards if walls are very flatOR 9mm/12mm depending on the condition/flatness of wall.
. Dot and dab NMP onto brick/block work/ plaster walls using SPF rapid set adhesive.
. NMP recommend 6mm, 9mm AND NOW THE NEW 12mm board for this procedure.
. Both sides of the boards should be primed with SBR at1-3 ratio.

Fixing NMP to timber Partitioned walls use 9mm or ‘NEW’ 12mm boards
. Use 9mm OR 12mm NMP boards for this procedure.
. Framing should be a minimum of 600mm centres and install noggins at the top of boards.
. Fix boards in a horizontal brick bond pattern.
. Apply a thin line of NMP ‘super strength glue’ along the timber and install the boards, press firmly and screw the boards using NMP screws at 8 per board (300mm intervals preferred)
