Good point , but as you as not supposed to fill your vertical movement joints with grout, it would make the joints look dark. If i had filled the vertical joints with a small amount of mapei 132 beige then yes a clear Silicon might work.

But as everyone on here recommends that grout should be kept clear from the Silicon joints what am I to do, in the real world i think most guys would grout and cover with clear Silicon, but i am trying to practice what I am being told on this site by experienced tradesmen.

thanks for the idea though. enjoy your weekend.

p.s. are you really busy.?

I am turning work away and could prob pass some your way.

if you are skilled with Silicon generally,

you can use cornertape and flatten the Silicon with your finger, remove the tape, spray your hand with soapy water (not the bead) and smooth off!

alternativly, use one of these kits:

you see the black bits top right, they clip into the orange Silicon shapers,
so the black bit runs along the tiles, stopping the judder you talked about!

regards

Dagger...p.s its called a fugi kit.

or i can come over, but if you can silcone generally, you can fix this with the kit above or cornertape and a bit of practice!

Who here has used corner tape? is the tape low tack?

I'm doing a decorationg job at the moment and I have to wallpaper above the granite upstand (see pic) the upstand is currently siliconed above, I need to remove this to get a nice clean cut on the wallpaper then re-Silicon but unlike tiles one slip with the Silicon and it won't come off the paper. It has only just occured to me the corner tape would be perfect in this situation but only if the tape is fairly low tack as it will damage the paper when removing if not.
