Light fittings in kerdi

i can’t seem to find any answers for this. Can you fit led spotlights in to Kerdi board?

Yes you can, same as any other board. Also leds emit very little heat.

...and Kerdi is very heat resistant.

I contacted them, they said their boards are for tiles, I would be better off with plasterboard

I think you must have got someone on a bad day.
Either that, or you spoke to the sales prevention manager!

I, wrongly it seems, assumed you would be fitting lights into the finished tiled surface that has Kerdi board backing. The subject on that message says Kerdi board ceiling, was that your intended use? If so, why?
