Is there a tiling IRC channel or has anyone ever thought of hosting one?

Dood, I think it's hard enough for most tilers to login here! lol

I'd be up for using the one you've setup, i'd idle in it, but I think when people ask in here, it helps future users and guests as they can read it for a very long time after it was talked about. Whereas in an IRC channel, you're pretty much nakard after a good 100 lines it's just too far to scroll and find the topic.

Plus, i don't think if a tilers is stuck right there and then, they will have access to the IRC channel to ask a question. there's more likely to do it when they get in, so they can ask here and wait for a reply and then go back to the job with the solution.

Dunno. Maybe it would work, maybe not.

I can make a real chat room on the forum, where we can all login and chat, but another forum I'm a member of has one and it doesnt get used much. People like asking in a forum where they can come back to in a few days and read it again sort of thing, I think anyway.

Okay mate just an idea coz i know when i first used the forum i was in need of a perplie right then and there, but i suppose thats just me being impatient 😛.

Personally i like the idea of a real room on here so put that down as 1 for.

I like the idea of answering or asking questions, and reading the responses when ever I am ready.

Maybe include an MSN or Yahoo messenger link in peoples profile?

😛 IRC is a program you download and then run to join an instant chat room set up for tiliers forum. Like msn messenger but it allows unlimited people to talk in it.
