80mm one from watford for the lights in a pool i'am tiling in London, i was a bit surprised that after spending £56.0 it said on the back of the packet you should get between 2-6 holes in porcelain :yikes::yikes::yikes: i hope i get a few more that that for the dosh...........

As long as you dont use too fast and have water cooling it down it will be fine. I have had a 63 mm one( I think) for ages now and still fine.

Thanks Neal ,i was going to use it as per instructions to get the best out of it anyways, but good tips there i was thinking of making a wooden frame and clamping it in place as well to stop it wandering around ......

i buy drill bits from b&q 😳. And i can tell they last for ever (not exactly :lol🙂 but they are realy good

Didnt you get the yellow plastic guide with it ? They work well but can wear quick if you dont remove it as soon as you have cut your initial groove.

No mate the yellow plastic guids are for the smaller drill sizes i did ask in the shop, i think they do a guide for larger drill bits but typically the shop had run out :mad2:.
so a steady hand it is lol

A piece of plasterboard or the lid of an adhesive bucket, I do have one of those holders with the sucker clamp on it but rarely use it.

thats what I do, plasterboard, hardie....... Anything that's about at the time!

I use a sucker clamp with the adjustable sizing thingymebob, works fine and stops the bit skating across the tile
