Hi all.

Unsure of a quote and wondering if you guys can help?

Tile; 200 x 200mm handmade terracotta. Unsealed, porous as hell. Rough around edges 25 mm thick.

Sub;

Perfectly flat practically square 12m2 new screed over heating pipes.

Pattern;

Full tile frame around perimeter. Inner to be on a 45.

Your thoughts.

Also how much sealer do you think theyre gonna soak up? Kilos of grout?

The backs of tile are quite bevelled so more addy need.

Labour price only .

Thanks.

Sean.

every type terracotta tile are different like a Mexican carillo which you canot use boiled linsed oil on and a french reclaime which you have to thin the oil down with white sprit

i would of thought it would be a day for fixing day for grouting and sealing having to pop back and forwards hope its local job i would of thought plus materials like 2 bags of sticky plus sealer i always use sand & cement with admix on a heated floor

Thanks for that!

So which sealer would you reccomend. Been advised boiled linseed?

Was planning on pre sealing them, fixing, sealing, grouting and a final good cleaning and sealing.

What's your ratio for sand , cement and admix? Are regular flexible grouts no good? Ie bal superflex?

Would the weber set SPF, the slow drying gear be a good addy for these?

Thanks pal.

Sean.
