hi all , anybody heard of company called google listings?thay called me last week with reference to gaining me a better listing on google .(obviously they charge for this service ):smilewinkgrin:

they will just be adword resellers, you can do this yourself if you wanted and it's quite easy to do. Most firms make it sound as though they are offering organic listings where in fact they are offering a sponsored listing, anybody who claims they can get you on the first page on google guaranteed will be offering sponsored listings

yes I have , they rang me a few weeks ago
I let her go through her spiel about all these people who are looking for work doing in my area and how they would make sure they all rang me
my replies were
what am I going to do with 145 leads a week , I wouldnt get any jobs done as I would be pricing all week every week, she agreed
if someone could pay to be at the top of page 1 it doesnt mean they are good tradesman, she agreed
the best way to find a good tradesman is to ask around family and friends, she agreed
at this point I could hear a male voice in the background telling her to terminate the call as she wasnt going to make a sale:lol:
I told her I was fully booked and couldnt take anymore on but thanked her for her time
the phone went dead

As said above really. I'd avoid anybody who needs to call you to gain a sale, and if you're interested in Adwords, checkout Adwords yourself. www.google.co.uk/adwords

They rang me too, at 6 in the evening, just as she was about to start with the spiel, I said hang on a min I'll put the boss on, and gave the phone to my 8 month old son, ha, while I put my feet back up with my beer,:8:

I bet she did and probably got a rollicking for letting the conversation go that way
ive had so many of these calls I have an answer to everything they say, Im always polite as its not a job I would like to do and they must be desperate to take a job where they get abused all day long
