First Job - Advise Please

[Ultimate Tiling]

Hi just after some advise for a job i'm starting tomorrow.

The customer has already brought the tiles which are

A 330 x 250 Wickes Ceramic Tile
Wickes  – Tiles – Wall Tiles – Ceramic Tiles – Travertine Effect Ceramic Wall Tiles
A 50mm Natural Stone Travertine Mosaquie
Wickes  – Tiles – Wall Tiles – Border Tiles – Travertine Mosaic Border Tiles

A couple of things i need confirming are, do I need to treat the border travertine tiles and if so what with.

The substrate is plaster after I have removed existing tiles and pain where I am tiling other wall.
I will be getting the adhesive from topps can you recomend which on will suit both tiles.
Also am i better using a primer for all of the walls.

Is the mosaic tiles the same thickness compared to surface tiles. Prime walls with bal APD, I would use a spf addy I like the palace stuff which is topp fix. Topps do fila sealers for natural stone. If you have'nt got a trade card your'll be paying thru the nose for the adhesive

Thanks for that I have opened a trade account at topps but have been told i wont get full benifits untill i make so many transactions.

The tiles are both within a mm of the same thickness.

Topps still dont sell an own brand single part flexible. At least, not as of last week. They do their Toppfix rapidset and rapidset flexi though.
