hi all,
just started tiling again and have quoted on a few jobs now but was wondering if I am charging too much at £25.00sqm. That price includes grout adhesive and trim. Any suggestions?

Need some advice please people. whats the bestway to cut rectangles/ squares in middle of tiles? Was going to buy an angle grinder for speed. Cheers.

I like to score the square/rectangle, plunge cut diagonal cross, then tap out, for ceramic anyway. for the rest i'd take my time and measure accurately, or try and not get them in the first place when you mark out!

I constantly have to cut these for customers,Elliot got it spot on,scribe glaze first, then it wont spelch from behind. The most accurate way is angle grind through front for alignment, then take it from behind with wet saw(minimum water) or maximum water and sowester ! seriously ALWAYS WEAR PROTECTIVE EYEWEAR !!!!!!

Get a 12v battery Makita diamond cutter, ideal for them cuts and saves carting round a wet cutter. Prop cost about £150-£200, but well worth it for speed.
