I bought all the materials needed to complete my bathroom in september/october before starting work.
as due to covid some delivery times had been quite long.
and i had to complete a lot more work prepping as all the walls had to be stripped and re boarded.

i've just come to start tiling and first up was an ardex shower tanking kit.
just went straight in to the mix, powder was solid lumps. so then checked date on box...may 2018
so checked the other adhesives...

BAL rapid flex one...July 2020
BAL flex one...October 2019
BAL micromax 2 July 2020
are the dates printed on the bags use by or born dates?

the ardex kit is scrap, wouldn't mix at all. but are the dates ok on the other adhesives?
they have all been stored inside the house at room temp and don't appear bad,
as i've used a few bags of the rapid flex one to set the hardieboards with and that whisked up and set fine.

The dates on the adhesive etc is date of manufacture, so 12 months from that date.
the tanking kit needs taking back and get an exchange

Thanks Dave,
I've started using the flex one dated october 2019 today and it's working ok,
it's just a couple of months over the use by date.

I'll take the tanking kit back though, as i think i'll need at least another bag of flex one so will pick one up while i'm there.

Also i ditched the vitrex levelling clips after looking at them trying to figure out why they would have such a deep curve in them? i'd need about half an inch of adhesive just to lay them!
and bought a pack of OGORI clips from amazon with pliers included...
