I would just leave it .....I will harden in time and be fine...

only joking , its pants and will always be pants, best to do the right thing and re-do it.......made you feel better for a second though, didn't it...

Even after all the sensible re -do it advice I really wanted to believe someone who would say it will be all right.

I get it.
Rip them up. . .or gently pull off. Thanks to everyone who responded. .even this one. It did raise a smile.

Hi,
I have tiled several hundred square metres of tiles, wall and floor, over four houses and never had any problems..until now.
I recently decided to tile an ensuite. The surface was osb and the floor has a run off.
I laid backerboard onto the osb for a nice surface.
I decided to use two bags of good quality powdered flexi floor adhesive. They were stored dry in my shed for about 18 months.

The problems.
Where the tiles were laid with a light bed the adhesive is dry but crumbly. Where I had to use a thick bed (floor run off) the adhesive is still spongy after two days. I think the hardener died in the shed.
The tiles are solid and stuck to some extent i,e, they don't move.

My 64 thousand dollar question... will i have to pull them up?
if not set in 72 hours ,lift them ,good luck

Hiya mate I realise you're new and the forum can be confusing at first, so here's a little tip.
When u find a thread (subject) u'd like to read, there are two things to look at before u do.
Firstly the date the thread was started, that's the circle on the left.
Secondly the date the last reply was given, that's the circle on the right.

If there's no real conclusion to the thread there's absolutely no reason why u can't ask the OP (original poster) how he got on.
If u check those dates tho it might help u decide whether or not to reply!
But still read it tho! It doesn't mean u won't find it interesting, just means it's probably resolved.
Just thought this might help! 😉
Keep active tho mate, good to see you involved!!
