I'v been asked to quote for a shop refit in Central London E1, I have worked it out that its about 7 days work for a 2 man team,
Just pricing up the expenses, such as hotel, parking, congestion charge, tube travel, fuel and travelling time, its blown my mind how much this comes to!
What are meter rates in London? its small brick ceramic, with dado border, all various sizes and colours for below border and above, tiled skirting, counter tops, 11 pillars and outside shop front, so not really straight forward! Approx 70sq/m altogether. I was thinkin £32/m plus materials, plus expenses, does this sound right?

Yes kilty thats what i mean, £32 per meter for labour only, materials is on top of this
expenses such as Fuel, travelling time(from Sheffield to London and back), parking at hotel, tube travel(as no parking at site) , congestion charge(to drop tools off, and pick up when finished), accomadation (6 nights 2 rooms) all works out at £1900 !!

If thats what you have worked out you need to earn from the job to make it viable then submit the quote and see what happens, if they want a cheap price then i'm sure they could find a cheap local tiler, don't sell yourself short.

Good Luck
