I make mince pies for our local cricket club from the 1st Sunday in Nov up to Christmas, every Sunday. 3 dozen.
My recipe is a sweet pastry, homemade mincemeat - lashed with brandy.
The secret is the golden caster sugar for the pastry.
I reckon my mince pies would win awards.
