Evening,

Stripped a bathroom today which is to be boarded out with cement backer boards.Removal of existing tiles has taken walls back to bonding coat and my question is whats the best way of fixing this type of board to these walls. Is it a case of dot and dabbing with addy or just plug and screw or a mixture of both.
Cheers

Mark

Depends on how thick the bonding coat is and what the wall is made of. Your fixings need to go into the bricks, blocks or whatever. If the bonding is thick, use nailable plugs, if it is thin, plugs and screws are fine. (Don't forget the washers.)
