hiya lads, after a quiet patch ,ive done 5 quotes in the last 9 days, monday i had 2 calls, got these 2 jobs with extra rooms on both if they like my work

just had a text tonight from a customer i worked for last month,he`s ordered the tiles for then next 2 rooms ,when can i do them

im convinced having a website is helping cos people can view your work instantly ,thus giving them some idea of what u can do

got myself a cement mixer too ,for footpaths,patio`s ect...

be nice to have a bit of extra cash.......for bills:lol:

I think things are getting better, I'm starting to get a calls now and got a bit of work booked in

I have the next 3 weeks booked solid even sat and sundays which is good for me as the last few month I have been living each day as it comes and doing any odd jobs!

Things seem to be flying over hear Im having to turn work down due to not being able to book it in when the customer want's it doing 4th week in August is my next date I think im in a lucky position most customers are prepared to waite for me "second time arround" 9 months ago i was quiet things are looking up long may it continue!!

over the coarse of the year it has picked up dramatically,but a lot of people up here have noticed it slow down again in the last few weeks,probably got something to do with the elections and the impending emergency budget :mad2:

i been mad busy since january but gone quiet last couple of weeks so i've put an ad in the local paper, hope that brings in work! on the upside, ive just had my boat engine repaired so i'll be out on the seas fishing thursday, forecasting nice sunshine

Ive been pretty busy all year , but taking nothing for granted , actual private work is slower but sub contract work for bathroom fitters/plumbers is steady..

things are picking up for me. still not doing full weeks but, 2-3 days a week. back of to france to work in a week or so. i'm still missing out on work due to other tilers putting in lower quotes. i have lowered my rates, but it seems they are not low enough! i can't see how some people make any money:mad2:

Gone very quiet for me in the last couple of weeks, not sounding good from the local bath showroom or conservatory firm either with people being laid off. All i've heard this year is people are holding off until the election/budget/world cup/holidays/this that and the other, should hopefully kick in about the end of November then? christmas rush here we come.:mad2:

That said i now have no excuse re sorting the website/accounts/painting around the house.

picked up a wee splashback for monday and a set of steps for later in the week.Dave cashflow has meant i have had to spend money on other things at the minute but i am considering the website option.After my hols in 3 weeks i am going to advertise again and try and get back to full time tiling as i am missing it but i have mouths to feed etc etc.:smilewinkgrin:
