Advice on Grosvenor style entrance

Hi guys,

I am a complete beginner with tiling and in the middle of a house renovation needing to retile the entrance porch. The dimensions of the entrance (particularly the return) in combination with the fact the tile has an accompanying boarder and corner tile is making it hard for me to know where to start.

If anyone could give any advice on how they would approach the layout, it would be much appreciated! Also any thoughts on laying directly on top of the old tile?
