How to screw a plasterboard to a brick wall?

I would use hammer fixings. Basically a large version of a rawl plug.

Weber Set Trade S1, real problems!

I am reading this post with interest. Looking at the pictures it does look as if you have used enough adhesive but the adhesive has compressed and hasn't taken a bond to the ply. Personally I would use the same batch of plywood. Do a control test, I.e use the same weber adhesive and fix one...

I Have Spare Tiles Any forum members have spare tiles they don't need any more?

Personally I leave spare tiles with the customer. That way they always have spare tiles or if they sell the house the new owner has spare tiles. Used to keep them but you end up with a miss mash or tiles that probably won't be able to be used by any one else as the difference in shade/batch...

Any Left Handed Tilers on here?

I am a lefty :-D For years I haven't been able to source a left hand serator, so much so that I either hold my senator 'upside down' or use my right hand.

Best Tile Adhesive for Walls - 2016 Tile Adhesives Poll

Personally love mapei. Used to be a bal man but I feel as if bal grout really getting difficult to use, then there is the price. Mapei- great price, sets really quick. Tub or powder. Grout dries fast aswell. Ideal for polishing shortly after grouting. Price, drying time and quality. Mapei is...

    NOT a metro splashback.

Really neat job Marc! Could be a nightmare though, imagine hitting 3 or 4 sockets off of the 1 tile?!

Is this the best edge to expect on a cut ceramic tile?

As many have already said. Here's a professional tilers finish. 600x600 glazed porcelain tiles. Ungrouted you shouldn't be able to squeeze a *** paper between the trim and tile. Some highly glazed ceramics have acceptable chipping, leaving a 10mm gap around it, isn't acceptable. I mostly do...

    Ramondi leveling system

I will second the plm but as mentioned they aren't cheap. I bought one from eBay that is very similar to the plm but the quality of them wasn't good.

Which Slow Set Adhesive is Best?

I don't really use slow set walls or floors. Generally mapei rapid set or pro flexible. Personally love the stuff. Sets nice and quick, not so keen on their grout... admittingly.

    Tiling tips.

I will second that by saying use only ONE bucket for white grout! Nothing worse than white grout with speckles of grey, black, jasmine, adhesive contamination through it. Can turn the best tiling job in the world to the worst...

    Snips

This shower tray curve was done with the trusty blues. You saying you would cut a curved tray with an angle grinder?

    Snips

Hi guys, just a quick one. I have had my snips since jesus was a boy. I love them very dearly. Unfortunately they are showing there age. I have tried various different other snips but I always end up back with the blue. My question here is what snips would you recommend?

    Grinder blade

Rubi blades are great topps sell them (I know, don't start! Ha) red ones tcr if I remember right are decent but for a finer cut their blue ones are great (tva 115, that is the name for definite!)

Club Dancefloor - tiles going to be up to the job?

This is pure gold! I don't even know Mr timeless but I could see big John strutting his stuff to this! To the o.p, notice they aren't dancing on a slate floor.... Back to the post, slate is arguably the worst tile to use! Printed slate on paper mashy would offer of a solid substrate. I would...

    Sigma Stock Crisis

Rubi blades are great! But their tile cutters? You would get a better cut off of a pizza cutter! Sigma is miles ahead of rubi cutters.

This may or may not sound stupid but I usually lay ditra and walk all over the top of it. Really helps it to bed in and get a grip of the mat.
