    Aquamix any help please

Do the sealed tiles look any different to the ones that aren`t? If not you should be ok not to seal the rest, as they are glazed porcelain. The glaze is the sealer.

    Tiling over 22mm T&G chipboard

I would check with your supplier if the Quartz tile is ok to be fixed over underfloor heating. Some manufacturers don`t recommend fixing over electric ufh, I`m not sure whether the same applies to wet ufh.

    Cracked tiles on big floor

I had this on 800x800 tiles on a wet heated screed. Used Ditra then levelled then tiled. All tiles had a diagonal crack in them where I had done L cuts. I had to dig out and replace these tiles and changing the L cuts, by rounding off the right angle to a rounded internal corner with a drill...

    Help for a newbie/wannabe tiler (essex/london)..

Take pictures of any work you do for reference. Tile shops will be your best bet though. If you work out a discount with the...

Tiling to plasterboard - to prime or not to prime?

I would prime the plasterboard. Use Mapei Primer G if you are using Mapei adhesive.

    Grouting Upto Bricks

I have had to grout up to bricks in quite a few old houses, mainly floor tiling around fire hearths and kitchen wall tiling. I always put masking tape on the bricks then grout. Wait for the grout to harden up then remove the tape. You get dust from the bricks so you must wait for the grout to...

    Backer Board Or Not?

Never compromise your work or reputation for someone that wants a cheap job. If you skimp on prep and it fails the customer will expect you to put it right.

    Tiling Large Area

Totally agree with the above post. I recently tiled a lounge in 600x400 porcelain with a random bond. It looked superb. Client was very happy.
