6 Strand guilloche border pattern, 10mm marble. This was set using no guidelines except for a 45 degree line at the corner. Everything else was done using a staff marked from the standard double strand guilloche.
Jericho taken from a 6th century map of The Holy land. 10mm marble tesserae.
Loop motif 300mm x 300mm, marble copy taken from Late Roman original found in Jordan.

Border patterns and motif made to be able to show clients the colour and design options. All 4mm thick tesserae (tiles) though I tend to use 10mm thick on the floors. Apart from 1 piece which is on some 6mm Hardibacker the rest are on Beava mesh.
Piper, just finished this one and the image shows it next to the dancer. This will be part of a full circular patio set.
Circle of triangles, detail from a 3rd century AD Roman mosaic. The pattern originally appears in earlier Greek mosaics. 44cm doameter garden paving slab.
