Field tiles 12mm thick, mosaics 8mm thick. Wall dipping away at top too!

Used the dog tooth method with an off-cut of tile.
4mm difference + 2mm adhesive so cut it to 6mm:

Spread a load of rapid in rebate

Comb it with dog tooth

Let dry for 30mins and it will leave a perfect depth to tile on

Works a treat and saves loads of time, hassle and mess.

I've done the same thing but with plywood....a tile offcut makes a lot more sense. Why didn't I think of that? Excellent post:thumbsup:
