got a lazer level never use it its quicker just to dry lay a few along the main focal point of room (usualy doorway) and use your eye and ajust untill it looks right

Why waste you time dry laying ? If you set it out right there's no need.

By the time you have messed around dry laying etc, you could have had your working lines down and the first 3 rows bedded in.
