Discuss Which colour grout? in the America area at TilersForums. The USA and UK Tiling Forum (Also now Aus, Canada, ROI, and more)

I know this is a subjective question but given the wide experience of forum members I'd appreciate any ideas you may have.
I'm planning to use a tile called 'Elegant' from CTD in the Grey (Anthrcit) colour seen here:
Gemini Tiles | products
In the 600wx300h landscape on the wall. (much as the picture)
The tile has several shades of grey in it so I'm thinking grout would need to be either darker or lighter but I don't know which.
I'm using Mapei adhesive so Ultra Colorplus I guess?

As I said any and all ideas welcome.

Thanks,

Dan

Grout type should be fine. Though colour is really personal preference. I always like to see nice white grout on walls, makes the place look clean and still brand new in years to come providing it's looked after and stays white.

Though I can see where you're coming from with that tile, the picture does look nice and they must be using a slightly darker grey, not sure what one though!

You can get grout colour samples (they're basically on a stick) so if you take a couple of the tiles into the tile shop you'll be able to offer them up against the grout board and work out what looks best for you. Perhaps that's the best option?

i always prefer the grout to be lighter than the tiles as it shows of the tiles rather than the grout being the most noticable thing,i would maybe consider a very light grey if you are not using white:thumbsup:
