Evening all

About 2 months ago I purchased the Vitrex - QEP Pro-750 Wet
Saw
after reading these forums.

The tile cutter itself is fine its the blade that is a problem for me. The blade that was recommended when purchasing was the Marcrist CK850 180mm dia...
22.2mm / 25.4 bore
.
When I use the cutter it chips the tiles terribly, at first I thought that it was because it was new and maybe it would wear in.

Can anybody tell me why this is?

Thanks Mark.

Is there enough water getting to the blade to cool it? Or it could be that the blade isn't fitted correctly (as in, the wrong way round, I've done that before!!!) and has some wobble,or maybe the blade is warped.

I had a marcrist in my rubi ND200 and got sick and tired of it chipping, then purchased the DNA blade:drool5:Soooooooooooo much better..

I use the Vitrex for small jobs, and find the Plasplugs glass blade eats through anything, Porcelain and all, Cheap blade but does the job.

Check the saw is running square, an out of true saw will chip on the follow through of the blade.

p.s. moved to tools forum.

Thanks guys, ill check this morning before i use it, if not i think ill purchase the rubi blade to see if thats any better.

Mark
