Tiling floor with natural stone

I am about to tile a bathroom with natural stone for the first time and I understaned there are some big defrences between tiling with natural stone comper to regular floor tiles. Can you please let me know to DO's and DON'T of tiling with this type of stone.

natural stone must be sealed before grouting,stone usually requires a white flexi adhesive,you generally can't cut stone without a wet saw or grinder,would also advise grouting is done with a gun after some posts lately from non pro-tilers having staining isuues or problems!

would recommend all non pro's get a tiler to lay these products as they are very costly and mistakes can be very costly!

Cant agree with this m8 a number of natural stones if not the majority don't need sealing before laying or grouting.

Many polished stones especially the harder limestones and granites dont take sealer so is not a good idea to seal before but sparingly after. An unfilled travertine can suffer from sealing before grouting as the sealant reduces grout grab and so you can suffer popping.

When laying stone first decide what stone it is, where it is to be laid and exactly what finish it has............then after taking advice decide on the best sealer whether it be topical or an impregnator..................

This statement is ludicrous you dont even know what the stone is how can you make a comment like that...........
