Tile Giant tiles

Been to TG today to pick out tiles for the new bathrooms

Going for the super black porcelain on the floor.

Any one used their one? Whats it like? Is it flat or any bowing? They dont hold stock so cant check it before buying.

Also considering their applestone or cappucino marble

Applestone is very nice, but as a whiter limestone then, it does need a quality sealer.. mattstone is perfect.. and cappucino is very nice as well.. is this to be polished or honed.?

Applestone is one of my favourites. I would go for mattston as i have found it nicer to use then the HG stuff i have. Would consider jerusalem stone but think i might have to save that one for the kitchen 🙂

The cappucino they have is polished and to be honest Id rather have a honed finish that i can seal myself, i think its looks more natural.

superblack is a nice tile. All I can say is that it takes some hard rubbing down to remove the transit wax on them! Apparently they are treated/ sealed with nano technology too.

I have also noticed a brown shade of this tile so I am guessing there can be a fair bit of shade variation between batches so have a good look before accepting them.

With regards to the cappucino range just be sure to check that it is not there promo range as Tile Giant have their normal range and occassionaly sell a promo range at a reduced rate. The promo one obviously has imperfections such as strong shade differences and lots of veins and pits etc.
