Shower door fitting

The plumber wants me to tile from the edge's of both sides of the shower tray, but wants a shower door fitted looking at it surly i would need to tile past the shower tray to allow the screws to be fitted otherwise the screws will be to close to the tile edge and break. Same as the bath but the window sill is mighty close if i tile just past the bath , whats the closest i can get to the edge of a tile before it would break? or fit doors before tiling?

Hi Enduro its not the marking of the line i am worried about its the fitting of the shower screen being to close to the tile edge when drilling in the screws hence the question tile slighty past the line or fit screen first then tile.

I always do it that way for the plumbers i work for and they never have a problem, if worried get them to fix screen first then tile.

tile to edge of bath and tray,the screens usually have a casing about25mm wide which is plenty of room for drilling holes,dont worry about it.
