Started a new job today and proceeded to rip out, room was half tiled with emulsion above.

Tested the emulsion by sticking to it and pulling off, paint came with it. :yikes:

So whats the easiest way to strip the paint? Never had to do it before. Substrate is Paramount, so cant reboard which would have been my preference.

Yeah lots of hard work i'm afraid

Look keep this to yourself right ;)

Search Results for peelaway - Decorating Warehouse

It's a waterbased paint stripper, you apply it, then cover the walls in film, wait a bit, then paint falls off

16 yr old and a scraper

Is that legal?? :whistling:

Got a Fein, which blade you using?

Liking the paint stripper but the only detail I can find on the product describe, (amongst other things), plaster backgrounds, not plasterboard.

if it's flaking off plasterboard it must have been really badly applied!! sanding through that will damage the substrate.

I've never used the peel away on plasterboard myself but can ask a few people who might have... I'll let you know tomorrow mate

paramount is a pita. Partitions are thrown up and decorators just hit it without any prep. Its plasterboard so it must be ok, lets not worry about the dust on it or any of the other carp!
