Hi All,

Looking for some advice please,

Starting a kitchen on monday, which has some pipes to be boxed in,

I normally use Hardi backer for this, but as the tiling is only going part way up the wall, and the rest is to be painted, am unsure what to use, to give the best painted finish ?.

I really don't want to plaster !

Regards

Gary

You have to change the board to plasterboard for the decorative sections to be able to get a proper finsh, so make your frame - hardibacker for the tile part, pb for the rest. Not sure if its worth using 2 boards for a minor thing like a boxing mind. The pb would suffice as long as its on a framework. Still some prep or skim required by someone to bring the decor parts up to scrach before painting though.
