Looking for experience

Hi, I know this is a long shot but I am putting the feelers out. I am attending a 5 weeks course, in March which is run by building Heros. During the 5 week course I will be shown tiling, domestic plumbing, plastering and brick work and gain my CSCS. Does anyone in the central Scotland area (Motherwell , Coatbridge, airdrie) have any advice on how to contact local companies and maybe get out shadowing someone for a while? I am currently working full time but get 3 days off, mostly mid week. Cheers for any help
