Hi guys, in the middle of re tiling a bathroom. Very new to me...
I just come by a guide that recommended using expansion joints on the walls. Never heard of this before, from what i gather its just a fancy word for silconing at junctions on internal walls which i was going to do anyway. Silcone around bath and internal cornors. But is it a good idea to to install them in places on the walls in replace of grout or is this not a good idea 🙂

Only required if large walls over 6m long. In which case the walls should be broken up into 3 - 4.5m sections separated by movement joints. Most bathrooms are not this size and so then only Silicon to the bath, shower tray and internal corners as you suggest.
