I personally hate the zig zag kind of bars.

Prefer the kind topps do..........base plate and then clip in top bar.

They do a transition strip for floors of diff heights

I agree CJ. Far superior profile. When I left UK not many shops sold them.

I used one of the types CJ refers to. I fitted it to my bathroom tile-carpet transition and also kitchen tile to wood floor as shown here.

Tiles were about 20mm above concrete floor and height difference to wood floor about 8mm. I screwed a piece of wood to the floor to take up excess depth then attached fixing strip to it.
