Hi Peeps
I have a query regarding a wet room. A repeat costumer asked me to look at a job that a builder left unfinished (dont ask). The customer wants Ditra laid on the boarded floor (18mm) but the preformed shower base is flush with the board. Can Ditra be laid on the preformed base or does the Ditra have to stop at the edge and I can feather off the edge with a bit of addy? The floor tiles are 150mm x 150mm.

cheers
Sharon

O

One Day

Careful with the falls though. Usually it will bend and stretch to accommodate but ideally don't cut it.
Also - join to waste with Kerdi-Fix (or Wedi 610 ;) )

What make is the shower former?
If it's a wedi type. There's no point fitting ditra. Just feather in as you suggested.

Dont know but its similar to wedi. I did think there might no point in fixing ditra to it, it could also effect the height of the drain I imagine.
