don't think they are listening to you, fantasizing about tools againI've not noticed it. I did notice on cheap aluminium, the heat would craze the surface, but if you're gentle it shouldn't burr on the face of the cut.

We also use a Bosch chop saw with a DeWalt Aluminium cutting blade which works perfectly but obviously it may be overkill for a lot of applications.
