Just thought I would put up some shots of my first job to see what you people think. Any comments greatly appreciated as I am still learning.

Some nice work there mate - didn't you want to finish right round the window reveal? Also, I would have used a couple of movement strips around the edge of your bath, all sealed in with Silicon - but thats just my personal pref 🙂

And did you put the floor down first?

The window reveal was not the straightest I have come across, I reckon it probably ran out about 2 inches from top to bottom, so I talked the customer out of it, plus I had never done the three way mitre of tile trim before, but did it on the external corner near the toilet, don't know if it is visible in the pictures.

At the point of taking the pictures the floor had not been grouted and none of the sealing had been done as I was waiting for the plumber to return before doing it, so it is basically all just after grouting.

Sorry didn't answer your second question. Yes I layed the floor first, the reason being that the bathroom had to be skimmed before I could start, which delayed me starting, but when I checked it on the first day the wall were not flat, so I ended up doing a bit more skimming myself and had to wait for the plaster to dry.

Again, me personally, I would have sealed the floor before the plumber turned up, just in case he drops anything on the floor that could stain the tiles.

Sounds like an arse about face job you had to contend with there, you must have the patience of a saint lol
