Brick Bond

Just wondering guys.

Do any of you charge a bit extra for brick bonding tiles???

Doing a bathroom at the minute, and the brick bonding is taking a little longer than expected.

Any views apperciated

Tried to add pics as it looks great. white and black rectangle 20 by 10 tiles, white all the way up except for three rows of black tiles.

I always charge extra for brickbond and diamonds, the two styles require more time to set out, cut and fix and our time is money.

I charge extra for diamond and patterns, but not bothered whether customer wants straight set or brickbond, though.

Yep, I charge extra for brickbond, and diamonds!

I don't think it takes to much more thought with brickbond but I do charge slightly more,the problem you have mate and I know cause I made the same mistake with them tiles are the amount your putting on the wall(50 tiles a sqm).I did a full bathroom and charged at my normal rates not realising I was laying over a thousand tiles.

Same as Ivegotstile says I didnt charge extra but will charge slightly more next time as it is a bit more fiddly. The problem I had was that the customre wanted to extend the job all the way up the walls and all the way around the room AFTER I had finished the splashback that I had already priced for set out and finished.
But thankfully it all looked good and customer was well pleased with it in the end.
