Discuss Best sealer for rustic riven multicolor slate? in the Specialist Tile -Stone, Porcelain, Glass area at TilersForums. The USA and UK Tiling Forum (Also now Aus, Canada, ROI, and more)
Hello, I’m laying slate tile (indoors) for the first time, and need help choosing a sealer. Has anyone used Adseal Water Based Sealer (Matt)? We dont want a glossy floor, but if the slate was to darken a bit with the sealer, we would be ok with that. It will be in the front vestibule, so will be high traffic, and likely often exposed to muddy/wet wellies. Any advice is much appreciated
The water is just the carrier, so depending on the surface tension it’ll be fine but over applying a solvent based sealer might affect the glue holding the split faced together.
Don't mind me while I bump up some older but good threads. If you can contribute to the thread, go ahead. But if it's nothing for you then don't reply and it'll soon drop off the What's New page etc.
