hi all,
i need help.
does anyone happen to have an old bag of ardexflex 5000 white or ardex flex 7001 w.
i appreciate that both of these adhesives were phased out or rebranded by ardex some time ago, but I must have the old product, not any new rebranded product ( ardex X7001 is no good to me). It does not matter if the sack has gone off or is out of date ( which it certainly will be).
Thanks

Hi Dave
I need to test it. It is being suggested that the 7001w swells up and causes cracking when subject to moisture. It was used externally (incorrectly) in stone corbel pockets in 50mm thick limestone cladding and the stone has cracked. Have you got any???

Have you contacted Cyril Potter, Chief Chemist at Ardex UK
yes, I have spoken yo Cyril. I have given ardex some pieces of dried adhesive which I know to be 7001w, but they are denying that its an ardex product. I need to do comparison tests elsewhere.
