Don't want to tread on anyones toes but just a quickie which may not have been pointed out before.

You can always tell me to shut up..

But, electric underfloor heating is notifiable under Part P of the building regs, which means, your sparks should ideally install the mat etc. and then come back and test and connect.

There are a number of different systems available and sometimes, but not always, earthing of the mat needs to be sorted before its buried.

Yes, the ufh is covered by Part P of building regs and has to be connected by a qualified Sparky. However, it does not have to be laid by a sparky!

All of The mats and cables you get from Uheat are fully earthed.

Hi Aaron,

The main reason for a sparks maybe having to install the mat, is that not all are necessarily fully earthed and require an earth grid to be installed on top.

Mind you, i have never seen one that isnt earthed anyway.

Believe me mate, i would rather you boys installed it
